UT System launches 24/7 free, virtual mental health care program for students

The University of Texas System is launching a new program that will provide 24/7 free, virtual mental health support to students at all of its institutions, including UT-Austin.

Starting this fall, students within the UT System will be able to access mental health counseling sessions, psychiatry services and other mental health and emotional support at any time. The services will be administered in partnership with TimelyCare, which provides telehealth services to higher education institutions.

“As a Texas-based company with colleagues living across the state, TimelyCare is proud to serve the neighboring universities we call our alma maters, our hometown teams, and the institutions of higher education we trust to educate our own children," said Luke Hejl, TimelyCare CEO and co-founder.
